Privacy & Care

Generally, you do:

  • Always be careful when communicating with people online.
  • Do not pass on your personal data such as your password to third parties. If you pass on personal data, your privacy is at risk. If a person has access to your profile without permission, please report such behavior.
  • Always be careful when sharing personal information (such as email address, messenger data, full name, URL and financial information) with another user.
  • Be careful if someone asks for your bank details, credit card number or other financial information. Do not send money to anyone. Be careful if someone presents himself as a representative of our company or others and asks you to pay a price for services that are not provided by dua AG.
  • Do not use provocative or suspicious names – this may attract the wrong crowd. We generally recommend that you use your first name without a surname.
  • If you are confronted with inappropriate behavior by a member, look for the Abuse Report tab, which sends immediate notifications to our team. You also have the option to “Block” if a member is harassing you or you feel uncomfortable communicating with them. Don’t be abused or harassed – block the member in question or report them to our team. We have a monitoring and effective control team in place to address issues that users may encounter while using our platform.

Clear thinking

For some people, communication on the Internet can very quickly create a feeling of deep intimacy. Some even go so far as to say that they have fallen in love with a person before they have even met them in real life. Be careful with such feelings. Use both your head and your heart. Give yourself time to get to know the other person better. Stay in the safe area of our messaging system before you switch to private messaging or other forms of communication. If you feel suspicious about anything, let us know at info@dua.com so we can take a look. We want to make dua a safe place for everyone.

Contact tips

Take enough time to get to know the person you are talking to. Only switch to private messaging when you feel completely safe. Don’t give out your phone number or address so quickly.

The first date

Meeting a person you like for the first time is really exciting. Still, there are some things to consider. Think clearly, despite all the butterflies in your stomach.

  • First appointments should take place in a public space and at an appropriate time. Lunch breaks are a good way to meet someone for the first time in a safe way. If possible, do not meet at night and in remote or isolated places.
  • Use your own car or public transport. Don’t let your date pick you up at home (see personal data).
  • Limit your alcohol consumption or do not drink at all. You must be able to think clearly.
  • Tell a friend about your plans and agree to check in with him later.
  • Always keep your mobile phone close to you.

Warning signals

There are some warning signals that tell you to be vigilant when you are with another user. If you see one or more of them and/or have a suspicion, please contact us immediately at info@dua.com

  • The profile picture is of an unusually attractive person and / or looks like a staged picture (e.g. model picture etc.)
  • The person claims to be a member of the US military or a widow. This is a popular scam strategy.
  • The person wants to approach you very quickly.
  • The person could ask for money and other financial support, allegedly for the treatment of a sick family member or if he or she is stuck in a foreign country. This is also a popular strategy.
  • The person wants to switch to private forms of messaging (e-mail, telephone, WhatsApp) very quickly.
  • The person will delete their account on dua.com.
