A long-distance relationship that ended in success

While Burimi lived in Germany and Lia in Kosovo, dua.com eliminated the distance between them, enabling their connection. The bond between the Diaspora and Kosovo happened naturally, just as it always does when young people from the homeland and the Diaspora use our app.

“I was watching the NIN show on Klan Kosova last August, and the founder of this app, Valon Asani, was a guest. I listened carefully and, out of curiosity, decided to download the app on my phone. I found it very interesting that it is an app made by Albanians, for Albanians,” Lia shares. She admits that she didn’t spend much time browsing the app, but fate led her to the right match.
“It was fascinating because Burimi also learned about the app through the same show.

When I asked him months later and found out that he had downloaded the app right after watching the show, just like I did, I felt that this was truly something magical,” she says. They found happiness and love in each other. Both feel like they complete one another. Their plans and dreams for the future are many.

“I always tell my husband, we were meant for each other, but dua.com was our matchmaker,” Lia emphasizes. As the couple shares, their online communication after matching on dua.com continued intensely for three months. “We talked regularly for three months, getting to know each other from a distance.

Luckily, we were both from the same region of Kosovo, which made things easier,” Lia explains about the beginning of their relationship. Like any other couple, when Burimi came from Germany, they went on their first date, continued their relationship, and decided to get engaged in November, on Lia’s birthday.

“When we have a daughter, we will name her Dua”

Their life together in Germany has now begun. After completing the necessary paperwork, Lia has joined Burimi there. Both hope to celebrate their wedding in Kosovo this summer and then plan to start a family alongside pursuing their careers.

“We have already decided that whenever we have a daughter, we will name her Dua,” Lia says. She adds that in Burimi, she has found the love of her life. He has fulfilled all her expectations, and they make each other incredibly happy. “dua.com opened doors for me, changed my life. We are very happy together,” she expresses.
