Valon Asani is the founder and CEO of dua.com. Originally from Kosovo, Valon spent years living in Switzerland, but like many Albanians living abroad, he would return to Kosovo every year for the holidays.

During one of these trips, Valon realized he wanted to find someone who understood his humor, shared his values, and appreciated Albanian traditions. Finding other Albanians in Zurich was difficult, which led him to think, “Why isn’t there a dating app for Albanians?” This idea first sparked in 2011 and became a reality in 2019.

At dua.com, we are dedicated exclusively to the Albanian community. Our platform is not just a dating app; it’s a community space that helps Albanians reconnect with their cultural roots and build meaningful relationships. This focus is especially important for those living far from home, as our data shows a significant need for a dedicated space where Albanians can find love and companionship while maintaining their cultural identity.
