Safety & Community Guidelines

1.1 Introduction

Welcome to dua.com! Our goal is to provide a safe and respectful environment for everyone. This “Safety & Community Guidelines” page combines our former Safety Tips and Community Guidelines into a single resource. By using dua.com, you agree to follow these guidelines, as well as our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy.

1.2 Community Values

  • Respect & Authenticity: Treat others with courtesy, and be honest about who you are. We do not allow fake profiles or impersonation.
  • Safety & Accountability: Everyone has the right to feel safe. Harassment, hate speech, or threatening behavior is not tolerated.
  • Privacy & Consent: Do not share personal details about others without their consent, and be mindful of your own information.

1.3 Account & Profile Guidelines

  1. One Person – One Account
    • You are allowed only one active account at a time. Creating duplicate or fake accounts is prohibited.
    • If you forget your credentials, please log in or reset your password rather than creating a new profile.
  2. Profile Honesty
    • Use real photos and accurate information. Impersonating someone else or using AI-generated/fake photos is strictly prohibited.
    • Keep your bio helpful, honest, and free of sensitive personal data (e.g., phone numbers, addresses).
  3. Inappropriate Content
    • Hate Speech & Harassment: Racism, sexism, homophobia, or any content that threatens or degrades a protected group is not allowed.
    • Sexual, Violent, or Illegal Activity: Explicit sexual content, glorification of violence, or any illegal activity is not permitted.
    • Spam & Advertisements: Do not use dua.com to advertise services or products, solicit money, or send spam messages.
  4. Respecting Personal Boundaries
    • Do not pressure other users to share personal information.
    • If a user tells you they are uncomfortable, please respect their boundaries. Persistent harassment is grounds for account suspension or ban.
  5. Child Safety & Protection
    • At dua.com, we are committed to creating a safe and respectful community. We strictly prohibit any content that sexualizes or endangers children, whether real or fictional, including but not limited to images, videos, text, media, digital illustrations, or links to third-party content. Any form of child sexual exploitation or abuse—including discussions, depictions, or attempts to share, produce, or solicit child sexual abuse material (CSAM)—is strictly forbidden. Even if the intent is to raise awareness or express outrage, sharing such material is not allowed.
    • We understand that members may wish to share moments with their families, including children, but any discussions or images of minors must remain appropriate, relevant, and lawful. If you choose to include photos of children in your profile, they must be fully clothed and accompanied by an adult. This also applies to childhood photos of yourself.
    • To maintain a safe environment, we do not allow profile photos featuring babies, toddlers, or children’s genitalia or buttocks, even if partially covered by emojis or clothing.
    • Any violation of this policy will result in immediate removal from dua.com and may be reported to the authorities. In compliance with applicable laws, we will report any suspected child exploitation, grooming, or abuse to the appropriate organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant law enforcement agencies.
    • If you believe we have taken action on your account or content in error, you may contact us here for review.

1.4 Safety Tips

  1. Online Safety
    • Protect Your Personal Info: Avoid sharing sensitive details (phone numbers, home address) early on.
    • Stay on the App: Keep conversations within dua.com as much as possible. Be cautious if someone insists on moving to another platform quickly.
    • Report Suspicious Behavior: If a user is harassing you, asking for money, or seems fraudulent, please report them immediately.
  2. Meeting in Person
    • Choose a Public Space: For first-time meets, pick somewhere public and well-lit.
    • Share Your Plans: Let a friend or family member know who you’re meeting, where you’re going, and when you’ll return.
    • Control Your Transportation: If possible, use your own method of travel so you can leave whenever you want.
    • Trust Your Instincts: If a situation feels off, prioritize your safety and leave.
  3. Recognizing & Avoiding Scams
    • Never Send Money: If someone requests financial help or tries to involve you in an investment scheme, it’s likely a scam.
    • Beware of Sob Stories: Scammers often use emotional appeals for sympathy. Keep personal finances private.
    • Guard Your Device: Keep your login details and devices secure. Avoid using unsecured public Wi-Fi to share personal info.

1.5 Violations & Enforcement

  1. Warnings and Disabling
    • Minor infractions (e.g., accidental minor policy violations) may result in a warning and temporary account disabling.
    • Repeated or severe violations (harassment, scamming, impersonation, explicit material) may lead to permanent account suspension and device blacklisting.
  2. Reporting & Investigation
    • If you experience or witness violating behavior, please report it. Our team reviews reports promptly and may request additional information.
    • We reserve the right to remove any content or disable any account at our discretion.
  3. Appeals
    • If you believe your account has been wrongfully disabled or banned, you may contact our support team for an appeal process. However, decisions around extreme policy breaches (e.g., fraud, explicit content) are typically final.
