Lovers in the stars: The phrase has been around for centuries. However, the stubborn debate remains the same: Love and Horoscope – Are they related to each other? Is it the stars, or is it all in your head?
Shakespeare, Chaucer, and Hippocrates all seemed to favour the idea of an immutable, inevitable, predetermined fate between two lovers, a knot bound tightly together by the gods. Based on this, there is no need to blame those people who get one or two suggestions from the horoscope.
Horoscope and its relation to human life
Love and horoscope. – Sir Isaac Newton, the father of physics, once, in defence of astrology to the sceptic Edmund Halley, said: I have studied the matter. You, sir, have NOT. And when Newton speaks, we listen. Regardless of your faith, one thing is certain: if you choose to follow the stars – you have to do it right. You don’t just see your sign’s astrological forecast; you have to go deeper than that.
For some clarity, Certified Professional Consulting Astrologer Diana Brownstone helps us better understand the discipline of astrology:
If people knew how much we could find out about them just from their birth date, time and place of birth, they would be speechless. Brownstone, who has practiced astrology since the late 1980s, has been interviewed by NBC, has lectured at the Astrological Society of Princeton, New Jersey, and has spoken numerous times at the New Life Expo.
According to Brownstone, at its core, astrology revolves around the idea that “we draw energy from the universe and the planets, which are the intermediaries that connect us to the greater cosmos.”
The fact is that our environment has a physical effect on us, Brownstone asserts. The sun, for example, affects your energy, your sense of self. It even changes our skin, makes plants grow, and affects us psychologically. When we accept that this is true of the sun, then why do we find it difficult to accept that the moon and other planets can have the same influence on us?
Love and horoscope – How does astrology work?
When it comes to relationships, should we look to the planets to guide the way in a decisive way? The answer, according to Brownstone, is yes. But there’s a trick: “Only if you’ve done your entire birth chart. She clarifies that the astrology most people interact with on a daily basis is the ‘filtered version’ of astrology. So confusion tends to happen.”
It’s impossible to determine someone’s personality with just 12 choices. For example, you can read your horoscope [if you’re an Aries] and because you have five planets in Aries, you really resonate with them. But, if you’re an Aries and have five planets in Pisces, you tell yourself, “I’m not like that at all.’ In reality, your sun sign is only one small aspect of a very complex natal chart.
This chart includes your moon sign, your rising (ascendent) sign, your lunar nodes, and the positions of your planets in each “house”. There are a whole host of other great details and determining factors.
Combination of signs when it comes to love
Love and horoscope – In the Review of romantic relationships and compatibility, there are many elements at play. Here, Brownstone reveals what to look for and what it means for you and your lover, Love and Horoscope. The elements and their corresponding signs:
- Fire (Aries, Leo, Sagittarius)
- Earth (Capricorn, Taurus, Virgo)
- Air (Gemini, Aquarius, Libra)
- Water (Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio)
Regarding a relationship: Brownstone notes that there is a general compatibility between people who share complementary elements within their signs of the sun (e.g., water, earth; water, water; fire, air; fire, fire, etc.). However, moon signs, ascendants, and lunar nodes must also be considered.
The compatibility between the sun signs of two people is a basic indicator. In general, signs that are of the same element share compatibility. For example, an Aries and a Sagittarius both bring a similar energy fire to the table: enthusiasm, purpose, and action.
Brownstone adds that when it comes to dating and compatibility, sometimes this tension is what contributes to a great level of attraction in the relationship; especially for people who are young or in their 20s. On the other hand, compatibility between moon signs is a plus. For example, if your moon sign is in Pisces [water], you may find your needs very well met by a Scorpio also water.
And so it goes on to see the dynamics between a couple. However, it should be clarified that the lack of accounting in the horoscope does not mean that you should give up on your love. Love and horoscopes have a lot to do with each other, but they are not the deciding factor.
