Where Are Albanians Searching for Love?
According to data from dua.com, Albanian users in Switzerland show a strong preference for connecting with others who also live in Switzerland.
This is largely due to shared lifestyles and the ease of integrating into relationships within the same cultural and social environment.
In contrast, Albanians living in Germany tend to be more open in their search.
“Around 30% of users take advantage of the Virtual Flight feature to ‘fly’ back home in search of love,” says Valon Asani from dua.com in an interview with Albanian media.
He goes on to explain that Albanian diaspora from Albania often look for love in the UK, Italy, and Greece, while diaspora from Kosovo tend to focus on Switzerland and Germany.
How did dua.com start?
dua.com launched in the App Store and Play Store in June 2020. The idea came from Valon Asani, an Albanian born and raised in Switzerland.
Seeing the need for a platform that connects Albanians globally through technology, Valon and a team of professionals came together to make it happen.
Today, that vision has turned into a reality, with hundreds of thousands of users – and thousands of love stories to show for it.
