Ajshe & Drilon

Ajshe and Drilon’s love story began with a message on dua.com and was soon headed toward marriage. Ajshe was 23, born in Denmark and from a family with roots in Kosovo.

Drilon was 24, from Pristina, Kosovo, and had recently moved to Germany for work. They met through dua.com. It all began in July 2020 with a like, a match and a conversation.

Anyone who meets Ajshe and Drilon is struck by the positive energy they share. Their chemistry is undeniable: within minutes, it is clear how well they know one another. As they recall their funniest moments, the sincerity of their relationship shines through.

Drilon admits that he never expected to find his future wife on a dating app. Fate had other plans. Following a friend’s advice, he downloaded dua.com.

“I saw Ajshe’s profile. I liked it, and a few hours later we matched,” he says. Drilon laughs as he remembers how beautiful she looked and how, after their first conversations on dua.com, he asked for her Instagram profile.

When we asked Ajshe what first impressed her about Drilon, she remembered reviewing his profile and photos with her friends. “What surprised me most was the way he wrote to me. He didn’t just say ‘Hello’ or send a generic opening.”

“It was Eid, and Drilon wrote: ‘I don’t know how to start this conversation, but… Happy Eid!’ It made me smile, so I kept talking to him,” Ajshe says.

When asked about the secret of their relationship, both say they believed in it from the beginning. “Drilon made me feel safe from the very first moment,” says Ajshe. They spent a year getting to know each other through messages alone, yet both felt confident about their future together.

Their online relationship became real on July 13, 2021, when they finally met in person—one year after their first match on dua.com.

Ajshe recalls: “I went to Kosovo for my summer holiday. Drilon came to pick me up at the airport, and that was how everything began. From that day on, we were inseparable. We spent so much time together.”

In October 2021, Ajshe returned to Kosovo without telling her family, simply to see Drilon. Although she stayed only a few days, they both remember that visit as one of their favorites. They continued meeting in Kosovo, Austria and Denmark, strengthening their relationship each time.

Like many young people in the diaspora, Ajshe and Drilon planned another summer trip to Kosovo. This time there was a special reason: they were preparing for their wedding.

“We are organizing the wedding and have set the date for August 3, 2022,” they announced excitedly.

By then, more than two years had passed since they met on dua.com and more than a year since their unforgettable meeting at Pristina airport. Their excitement was unmistakable as they prepared to begin a new life together.

Ajshe and Drilon’s story shows that love always finds a way. They were born in different countries, come from different parts of Kosovo and had to overcome the distance between them. Yet the love that began on dua.com overcame every obstacle.
