In December 2021, Arta and Dreni met through dua.com – she with a profile secretly created by her sister, he from friends’ suggestion. A simple message united them from Kumanovo and Stuttgart, through Kosovo and Germany, to Thessaloniki, where they now live with their two children.

Who are Arta and Dreni?

Arta (32) is a psychologist with degrees in Psychology and Political Science, raised in Kumanovo, with a calm and measured character. Due to intensive academic and professional commitments, she had left finding love to fate, although her family constantly asked her why she was still single.

Dreni (33), on the other hand, is a successful digital marketing entrepreneur, originally from Ferizaj, who grew up and lived in Stuttgart. As an entrepreneur, he understood the importance of finding true love and decided to give the dua.com app a chance.

When your sister becomes your matchmaker

It was Arta’s sister, Gresa, who secretly created a profile for her on dua.com in December 2021. At first, Arta was angry, but after her sister’s insistence – and seeing that the profile was already set up – she agreed to give it a try.

Among many “likes” and messages that didn’t feel genuine, one message from Dreni caught her eye. At first, she didn’t like his appearance at all, but his conversation made her curious – so much so that even her mother encouraged her to keep talking after reading the messages.

Do our parents know we went out?

Their first meeting happened at the beginning of 2022 in Kumanovo. It was a delicate situation for Arta, since her father was more conservative, and she initially hesitated to tell him.

Her sister Gresa stepped in, explaining to their father that Arta was going to meet a serious man she had met through the dua.com app. That reassured him and made him accept the meeting.

On the other hand, Dreni traveled from Germany to Kumanovo just to meet Arta. That first meeting changed everything for him – He instantly knew Arta was the one he had been searching for. During the meeting, he even called his mother to tell her how serious he was about this relationship.

“Do you want to meet my parents?”

At their second meeting, Arta decided to ask Dreni an important question: whether he would be willing to meet her parents. For her, it was a way to test his seriousness. Dreni asked for a little time to think it over but soon gave a positive answer – yes.

That small step for both of them was, in fact, a big step for their relationship. It was the sign that they were both seeing this as the beginning of a life together. For Arta, it was the most genuine way to see if it was worth continuing – and Dren’s answer gave her that certainty.

When time doesn’t matter in love

A few months after they met, Arta and Dreni discovered they were going to become parents. Although unexpected, this news was a clear confirmation that they had made the right choice.

On December 5, 2022, their son Rron was born, filling their lives with joy and new responsibilities. Two and a half years later, on June 15, 2025, their family grew again with the birth of their second son, Lion.

Over the years, they explored different places together – from Germany to Kosovo – before settling in Thessaloniki. Now, they dream of continuing their family adventure in Malta, showing that their love and family are always ready for new challenges and adventures.

When You Know What You’re Looking For

When we asked Arta what she thought about dua.com, she answered:

“When you’re looking for something serious, you also know where not to look.”
For me, that place was Snapchat, a platform I saw as one for secret and short-term relationships – something I didn’t like at all.

That became my filter on dua.com: if someone mentioned Snapchat, it was an automatic ‘No’ from me.

But dua.com was completely different – a place where you truly find seriousness and meaningful connections. That’s why I love this platform – because it brought me my life partner and a beautiful family.
