A few months ago, Tina and Drini celebrated the first birthday of their daughter, whom they named Dua. And when someone asks how they met, the couple always has a simple answer:
dua.com!

The app that brings Albanians together from all over the world played matchmaker for this happy couple, who now live in Germany and are enjoying life as a young family.

Meet Tina and Drini

Tina (25) is from Ferizaj and holds a degree in tourism management. She has always had an open heart when it comes to love.

Drini (31), originally from Mitrovica, was living and working in Germany on a work visa — and searching for the love of his life.

Their story began in 2021…

Tina and Drini first connected on dua.com when the app was still in its early stages. They matched, started chatting, and instantly clicked.

Tina remembers the first profile picture she saw — a blonde guy with blue eyes. Even though their daily conversations brought them closer, the distance between Ferizaj and Mitrovica felt like a real barrier for her.

“My mom always wanted me to find someone close to home, in Ferizaj. So when I found out he was from Mitrovica, it felt too far. I couldn’t even imagine moving out of Ferizaj — let alone to Germany,” Tina recalls.

Despite the strong chemistry and flowing conversation, something didn’t quite work out the first time. Perhaps it was stubbornness or pride, but they eventually stopped talking.

“Things didn’t go our way the first time. We even deleted each other from dua.com — and uninstalled the app!” Tina says with a laugh.

But fate had other plans…

Months passed, and both Tina and Drini remained single. They couldn’t stop thinking about dua.com — so they decided to give it another try. Both re-downloaded the dua.com and created new profiles.

When they saw each other again, it felt like a sign. They picked up the conversation right where they’d left off. The attraction was still there — it had never really gone away.

Soon after that second match, they agreed to meet in person. In 2022, when Drini visited Kosovo, they had their first date in Ferizaj.

“He came just to meet me. We went out in Ferizaj and I was immediately impressed by how polite and kind he was. I felt at ease with him from the very beginning,” says Tina.

Things moved quickly from there. That same year, in December, they got engaged — and in 2023, they were married.

Today, they’re happily married and living in Germany. When we contacted them for this interview, they were enjoying a family holiday in France with their daughter.

“We named our daughter Dua — from the heart”

The most beautiful moment came on January 21, 2024, when Tina and Drini became parents to a baby girl they named Dua. The name wasn’t a coincidence.

“We had chosen it long before. Dua was the name we both loved — not only because it reminded us of dua.com, the app that brought us together, but because of its deeper meaning. It’s a prayer — a heartfelt wish we both shared to become parents,” Tina explains.

As early users of dua.com, both Tina and Drini firmly believe that it’s the best platform for finding a life partner.
Drini shares how difficult it would have been to find someone like Tina while living in Germany if it wasn’t for dua.com.

“Even though I moved to Germany, I quickly realized that relationships with people from different cultures wouldn’t work for me. I wanted to build a family with Albanian values and what made possible was dua.com,” he says.

For Tina, the experience was just as special:

“I felt safe using dua.com. It was definitely the best decision I made when it came to searching for love. Many people in our circle use the app, and we always recommend it — especially to young people. There’s no reason to hesitate.”
