Yllza & Medini
- Engaged in 2024
- Married in 2024
- Germany
From Tetovo to Gostivar, and all the way to Germany. One match on dua.com, one month of nonstop phone calls, and an engagement after 43 days.
Yllza
Medini

Yllza (23) from Tetovo and Medini (26) from Gostivar matched on dua.com in October 2024. Then came month of nonstop phone calls, a first meeting that lasted about an hour and a half, and an engagement 43 days later. Today, after a wedding with an Albanian flag, music, and def, Yllza has received her visa and is joining Medini in Germany to begin their life together.
Two neighboring cities with no reason to meet
Yllza is 23 and was born and raised in Tetovo. Young, grounded, and practical, she knows how to say what she wants. When she installed dua.com, she did not expect too much, but she was clear about thing: she wanted someone authentic, not someone selling pretty words.
Medini is 26 and from Gostivar. He works, travels, and has an open mindset. He was in Bosnia for work when the match notification arrived: a 23-year-old from the neighboring city, someone he may never have met in ordinary life.

One month on the phone before ever meeting
They matched on October 10, 2024. Yllza had Premium, Medini did not. But that detail did not matter at all. After two days of chatting in the app, they moved the conversation outside it and began the calls that would change the rhythm of their days.
Medini was still in Bosnia and could not return right away. So for about a month, they got to know each other through their voices every day, every night, through the big things and the small.
"For month we talked nonstop on the phone. We talked about all the big things and all the little things," Medini says.
The first message was a simple "Hello". But as they remember it now: "We did not know that behind that first message was the beginning of the most beautiful part of our lives."
The first impressions were confirmed quickly. In Medini, Yllza noticed maturity and a respectful way of communicating. In her, Medini found honesty and positive energy that could be felt even through messages.

November 11, 2024: an hour and a half that decided everything
Their first meeting happened on November 11, 2024, as soon as Medini returned. It did not last long, around to two hours. But for both of them, it was enough.
"The moment we saw each other was very interesting," Yllza says. "That is when I knew Medini was truly right for me."
The next meeting was decisive too. That was when Yllza got the confirmation she had been waiting for: "I got the answer that we were starting a relationship."
Only three days after the first meeting, they also met each other's families. Things were moving quickly, but not without reason. Yllza's family supported her without hesitation: "My daughter, if you love him and you are sure, we are behind you."
Gossip, distance, and an engagement after 43 days
Not everything was easy. For Yllza, the biggest challenge was not distance, but other people's talk. "The biggest challenge was the objections and gossip from people," she says.
Medini made it simple. He was open from the beginning, shared everything, and left nothing hanging. "Medini was very open from the start. I liked that a lot. I trusted everything he said and everything he told me. I did not care about other people's words," Yllza says.
They understood their love during the long conversations, when it became clear they shared the same values and plans. They were no longer speaking about today, but about a future together.
Medini was the first to say "I love you", without hesitation and without softening it. He said it with such certainty that Yllza had no doubt something big was growing between them.
The engagement happened on November 22, 2024, 43 days after the match.

- November 22, 2024 – engagement, only 43 days after the match

A wedding with a flag, def, and "Premtimet"
The final days of December 2024 now belong to their story. December 28 was the bachelorette celebration, December 29 was a pause, and December 30 was the wedding.
"We had the wedding fully with Albanian traditions. With the flag, with music, and with def," Yllza says proudly.
The most emotional moment was the first dance. But the story around it began weeks before the wedding, when the two of them often listened in the car to "Premtimet" by Sidrit Bejleri and imagined what that day would feel like.
"When that moment came and the song started in the background, we both teared up. It was the peak of all our emotions."
After marriage came the surprises. Yllza bought Medini tickets to a Dino Merlin concert, their favorite artist. Medini, on his side, did not forget their first month of marriage. "I thought he had forgotten, but he surprised me and showed me how thoughtful he is," she says.

The June 5 visa and the life waiting in Germany
After the wedding, the couple spent several months physically apart: Medini in Germany, Yllza in North Macedonia waiting for her visa. Her first real experience of living together was with Medini's family.
"My mother-in-law welcomed me like her own daughter. They received me like I was in my own home. The beginning was a little hard, but they treated me very well," Yllza says.
On June 5, 2026, Yllza's visa was approved. Soon she will travel to Germany, where she and Medini will begin their life together as an independent couple.

Their plans are clear: "We want to grow professionally in our fields, build a warm family home, and enjoy every new opportunity this new beginning in Germany gives us."
Without dua.com, this meeting would not have happened
Yllza knows very well that without dua.com, this story would not have started this way: "Without dua.com, I would never have met Medini."
Together, they close it with these words: "Maybe our paths would have crossed again somewhere. But without dua.com, we surely would have lost valuable time without finding our better half."
Medini adds very direct reason: "I would not have married anyone except an Albanian woman. I got dua.com because there were Albanians there."

And their message for others is as simple as the first message that brought them together:
"Get dua.com and do not stay single."
